Exploring Life on the Sound

Join us at Edith Read Sanctuary on June 25, from 11-12pm for a NEW special workshop, “Exploring Life on the Sound”. Marine Biologists from Sea Grant will take us on an adventure to explore life on the Sound. Participants will watch as biologists enter the LI Sound waters to collect samples and have a chance to discover and learn from what is found. Get ready to explore the shore and learn all about its unique plants, and animals; or maybe even find an organism or two you didn’t know about! Recommended ages 5-8.
*Registration is required* This program is free, but spots are limited.
Note: This is an outdoor exploration walk/workshop where caregivers MUST accompany children. Please make sure your child is properly protected with sunscreen and/or bug spray. Children may get a bit messy or wet, so bringing an extra shirt or a towel is recommended. Children will not be aloud on the rocky beach. Parking is included with a workshop ticket.
