Step back in time and take a guided tour at the historic home at Van Cortlandt Manor.  Check out one of the largest and best-equipped 18th-century kitchens and view the extraordinary collection of colonial and federal period furnishings.  After you explore the stone manor house and brick ferry house, wander through the heritage gardens, and stroll down a quiet country road along the Croton River.  There, you’ll experience the domestic life of a patriot family living in the years just after the American Revolution – the New Nation period.  Check out their website for the exciting annual events which includes Lightscapes and the ever popular Jack O’ lantern Blaze where you view over 4,000 carvings at night!
